RALEIGH, N.C. — Police arrested a 17-year-old man who they believe attacked two women – including one in Lake Lynn Park – in late March.

Devin Terralle Carmen faces one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury for the Lake Lynn attack and one count of assault on a female in a March 23 incident.

He was taken to the Wake County Jail on Monday evening. Carmen's bond was set at $100,000 with electronic house arrest.

A 22-year-old jogger told police that a man attacked her from behind on March 31 while she was running in Lake Lynn Park. Her assailant twice hit her in the head with a rock, but ran away when she screamed.

The victim said she suffered a concussion and some neurological damage from the attack.

Investigators believe that Carmen grabbed a woman outside an apartment complex on March 23.

The two attacks raised fears about security and prompted police to increase patrols.
