Suspect arrested in Goldsboro robbery

Investigators believe that Edquan Moranta Battle, of 900 Evergreen Ave. Apt. I-1, robbed a woman at gunpoint on Sept. 18 and stole nearly $1,500 worth of her property.

Battle was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and placed in the Wayne County jail under a $75,000 secured bond. His first court appearance was set for Monday.

State Department of Corrections show that Battle was placed on probation in March after being convicted of misdemeanor drug possession, reckless driving and driving with a revoked license.
