According to the Nashville Police Department, the bomb was found on the roadway on South Creek Drive near 1st Street. The North Carolina SBI is on its way to the location to assess the situation.

Multiple agencies were involved in a Wake County police chase that resulted in an arrest after a brief foot pursuit Wednesday afternoon.

The chase ended near the intersection of Sunnybrook Road and Rock Quarry Road when a person got out of the car and ran, authorities said.

Agencies involved included the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the Raleigh Police Department and the Wake County Sheriff's Office.

Multiple schools nearby were on brief lockdown, which have since been lifted.
