Raleigh and Garner are offering giveaways to encourage people to support local businesses attempting to bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh and Garner are offering giveaways to encourage people to support local businesses attempting to bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic.

In Raleigh, diners are encouraged to show their lunchtime loyalty to downtown restaurants by sharing photos of their food for a chance to win a $25 gift card to a participating restaurant of their choice or a grand prize $100 gift card.

Photos must be posted to Instagram or Twitter and have the tag #DowntownRaleighLoyal. The restaurant must be tagged and entrants need to follow and tag Downtown Raleigh Alliance on Instagram.

The contest runs through Friday, March 5.

In Garner, the chamber of commerce just launched its own gift card giveaway contest.

"The $10,000 Great Garner Giftcard Giveaway" started last week and will run into April.

The chamber purchased $10,000 worth of gift cards from member businesses and will be giving away $250 worth of gift cards to one business via its Facebook page each day. Cards range from $25 to $50 depending on the business. To enter, people just need to comment on the Facebook post each day.
