Sunshine, warmer temps coming for work week
Spring started cool and damp across central and eastern North Carolina, but warmer weather is on tap for the work week.
Posted — UpdatedRain showers moved through the Triangle overnight, and skies should begin to clear by late morning on Monday. Temperatures will be in the mid-50s Monday afternoon, a few degrees below normal for this time of year.
Winds out of the northwest could be breezy, too, with gusts up to 25 mph.
An area of high pressure will take control of North Carolina's weather by Monday afternoon, setting up a beautiful few days of moderate temperatures and sunshine.
Highs Tuesday will be in the 60s, and 70s will return for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
