Raleigh, N.C. — After steady rain and cool temperatures Friday night, Saturday began chilly with a little fog. It didn't get much warmer, leading to a gray, overcast and cool Saturday.
But some warmth is on the way.
We saw some snowflakes in some spots across the state, like Apex, on Friday. There was none of that on Saturday, but a few areas did see some brief showers. Once we get through Saturday, the major warm-up begins.
Sunday looks to be sunny and clear, with temperatures steadily growing into the low 60s — a beautiful day for any Super Bowl fun you have planned!
On Monday the real warm-up finally arrives, bringing highs in the 70s with partly cloudy skies.
Those warm temperatures in the low 70s or upper 60s continue through out the week, until a front comes through Thursday, bringing potential for severe weather and dropping temperatures back down into the 50s by Friday.
