Sunday morning shooting leaves 1 injured in Raleigh

The Wake County Sheriff's Office said it is investigating a shooting that injured a man.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Wake County Sheriff’s Office said it is investigating a shooting that injured a man.

The sheriff's office said the shooting happened just before 9 a.m. Sunday.

Deputies were dispatched to a shooting call at the 5200 block of Poole Road in Raleigh.

Upon arrival, deputies said they found one male victim with a gunshot wound.

The man, who has yet to be identified, was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

It is not currently known what led to the shooting.
