WRAL Chief Meteorologist said that while the high temperatures have not been "groundbreaking," the low temperatures this summer have effected the humidity.

"When you start getting a lot of high overnight lows that is usually indicative of an awful lot of moisture in the air," he said. "The low temperature is ranked fourth going back all the way to World War II."

The average high temperature this summer is 89.7 degrees, and the average low is 69.6 degrees.
