— Police arrested a suspect in the robbery of a Subway restaurant on Friday.

Investigators said Trevor Worsley, 34 – whose last known address was not released – walked into the restaurant at 220 E. Martin St. around 8 p.m. Worsley implied that he had a weapon and demanded that employees gave him money.

Worsley fled on foot, but citizens helped police by pointing out which way he was going.

Officers recovered all of the money and charged Worsley with robbery.

Investigators said they did not believe Worsley was connected to a strong of robberies targeting Subway restaurants in Raleigh this year.

Worsley is being held at Wake County jail on a $25,000 bond. His first court appearance is 2 p.m. Monday.

Worsley served five years in jail for an armed robbery committed on July 21, 2000, in Wake County, according to Department of Correction records. He was released in August 2005.

Worsley was convicted of larceny in Wake County in December 2006 and sentenced to 36 months of probation.
