Students injured in Raleigh school bus wreck

Four children were injured when their school bus was hit by a car on Dillard Drive in Raleigh Thursday afternoon, Wake County Schools spokesman Bill Poston said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Four children were injured when their school bus was hit by a car on Dillard Drive in Raleigh Thursday afternoon, Wake County Schools spokesman Bill Poston said.

The students were taken to Western WakeMed Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, Poston said.

The bus was hit as it was making a left turn out of Dillard Drive Elementary just after 3:30 p.m. The bus was carrying students from Dillard Drive Middle School.

According to the wreck report the driver of the bus, Major High, was charged with failing to yield right of way to a car driving on Dillard Drive.
