ERWIN, N.C. — The Harnett County Sheriff's Office searched the home, computers and iPhone of a Cape Fear Christian Academy employee charged with sexually assaulting a student-athlete, prompted by a detailed report from the boy and his mother, according to warrants released on Friday.

The sheriff's office says Tammy Moran has been fired from her role as the school chief financial officer since her arrest on three counts of sexual acts by a substitute parent.

At least two boys who played basketball for Cape Fear have retained lawyers. Both young men - being referred to as John Doe #1 and #2 - allege Moran sexually abused them in her home, where they were staying while students at Cape Fear Christian Academy.

In the warrants released Friday, one young man outlines the gradual progression of Moran's sexual advances, beginning in December, when she would "rub his back and then kiss him."

According to the warrant, the student claims he had intercourse with Moran multiple times between Feb. 12 and March 15.

The student showed investigators videos on his phone that, he claimed, were of himself and Moran. When investigators searched her house, they found decor that matched that in the videos.

Moran is being held in the Harnett County Jail on $150,000 bond.

Both of the John Does were minors when the alleged abuse happened. The family of one accuser told WRAL's Gilbert Baez that the abuse was reported to the school.

"That's one of the big questions that the parents don't understand is how this woman was put in this position of trust such that she could violate it like this and what the school knew and what did they do about it," said attorney Coleman Cowan of Farrin Law Firm in Durham.

The lawyers are now focused on finding other potential victims.

It's an investigation that could lead to a civil case, the attorneys told WRAL News. It is unclear at this time if Cape Fear Christian Academy has legal representation.
