Student Found With Gun at High School
A teenager was charged Wednesday with bringing an unloaded handgun to East Chapel Hill High School, police said.
Posted — UpdatedCHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A teenager was charged Wednesday with bringing an unloaded handgun to East Chapel Hill High School, police said.
Samuel James Clay Harvey, 16, was charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds and possession of a weapon by a minor, police said.
Someone at East Chapel Hill High told a school resource officer that a student had a gun in the school. The officer found an unloaded .38-caliber gun in the student's bookbag, police said.
