Zebulon man charged with raping 14-year-old

Zebulon police arrested a 43-year-old man Friday and charged him with raping a 14-year-old girl in August.

Eugene Smith, of 111 West Side St., was being held in the Wake County jail under a $1 million secured bond.

He was scheduled to appear in court Monday morning.
