YMCA of the Triangle President to retire after more than 50 years

YMCA of the Triangle President and CEO Doug McMillan announced he will retire later this year.

YMCA of the Triangle President and CEO Doug McMillan announced he will retire later this year.

"The time has come for me to pass the baton of leadership," McMillan said in a release. "I make my decision to retire very confident in what’s ahead for the YMCA of the Triangle. Our Y is incredibly strong and its future extremely bright. Our Association’s capacity to change lives, build relationships and strengthen communities is unmatched."

McMillan has been part of the YMCA for more than five decades, including a tenure as CEO spanning nearly 30 years. He took a role at Camp Seafarer when he was 17 and has been with the YMCA for 55 years.

"I am deeply proud of the work we’ve done and journey we’ve taken together," said McMillan.
