A YMCA daycare worker in North Carolina was arrested on Tuesday and charged with showing "obscene" and "harmful" material to children at an elementary school.

Kendra Nichole Sprouse, 35, was also arrested for indecent liberties with a child and felony dissemination of obscene material to a minor under 13 years of age.

The Burke County Sheriff's Office said Sprouse worked with the YMCA and was watching children after school at W.A. Young Elementary School. The students she was watching were from W.A. Young and Salem Elementary School in Burke County.

The sheriff's office said all parents and guardians of children who were "possibly" exposed to this material have been contacted.

Authorities said they conducted "several interviews" over the past month. The sheriff's office's investigation into her is still ongoing.

Sprouse was arrested on Tuesday and issued a $10,000 secured bond.
