Woman killed in Sampson County wreck

State troopers said that speed was a factor in a single-vehicle wreck in Sampson County that killed a 25-year-old Erwin woman Friday night.

Troopers said that Felicia Byrd was driving a late model Crown Victoria when it ran off the right side of Greenpath Road, near Phillips Road, south of Dunn. The car overturned several times, ejecting Byrd.

She died of her injuries, troopers said.

Byrd was the only occupant of her vehicle, troopers said. Alcohol was not a factor in the wreck.
