Woman injured after child fires gun inside Wendell home
The woman was taken to the hospital after being shot on Privette Road near Wendell
A woman was taken to the hospital Sunday after being shot in her own home.
According to the Wake County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the call Sunday morning at a home on Privette Road.
Deputies said a child in the home discharged a firearm through a wall in the home, resulting in the woman being shot.
The shooting appears to be accidental, according to the Wake County Sheriff's Office.
The investigation is ongoing.
