Woman charged in motorcyclist's death

Police on Monday charged a driver in the death of a motorcyclist.

Ryan Ciszkowski, 25, of 7514 Telfair Drive in Fayetteville, was riding east on Yadkin Road on Sept. 20 when his motorcycle collided with a Dodge Intrepid near the intersection of Lake Valley Road, police said.

Ciszkowski was airlifted to UNC Hospitals, in Chapel Hill, where he died at about 11:30 p.m., according to the family.

Police said the driver of the Intrepid, Georgia Houston, 60, turned in front of the motorcycle. Houston was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and failure to see before turning.
