Woman charged in fatal shooting of man at Fayetteville hotel

Police have arrested a woman accused of fatally shooting a man Sunday evening at the Tropical Motel located at 4306 Bragg Blvd.

Police were called to the motel just after 7:30 p.m. and found Roger D. Jones, 57, suffering from a gunshot wound. Jones was pronounced dead upon arrival at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Taloria W. McDonald, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder and is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center without bond.

Police said the suspect and the victim knew each other.
