A woman who was hit by a car on Glenwood Avenue said she can't forget the driver who fled the scene.

The hit-and-run happened on Sept. 6.

Court records show that the driver has a history of hit-and-runs in Raleigh.

"I did go up on the hood of the car, which launched me probably about 10 feet," she said. "[I] landed right on my right hip, had a pretty big asphalt scrape [and] a couple bruises."

The woman who wants to remain anonymous is still recovering from her injuries.

The victim and her girlfriend attempted to cross the street in the crosswalk, but the driver stopped in the middle of the road and rolled down her window.

"She decided to point finger guns at us," she said. "And with a smile on her face."

The victim kept walking and got hit by the car.

People who saw the car drive away posted about it on social media.

"Thanks to the power of Reddit I was able to get the license plate," she said.

She also obtained the driver's identity, 31-year-old Julia Johnson, whom WRAL News had previously reported on in April.

NC State police accused her of intentionally hitting a person on a motorcycle twice with her car after a dispute on campus.

Court records show no convictions on a host of other charges, including assault with a deadly weapon.

"Judges are doing the things they can do, but apparently she continues to meet those bond requirements and be released," said Attorney Lee Turner.

Turner said the judge has taken steps to keep the public safe by giving Johnson a $50,000 bond with monitoring and ordering no operation of a car.

Johnson, still in jail, has a court appearance in October.
