Rajah Caruth, a Winston-Salem State University student, became the third Black NASCAR driver to win a NASCAR race.

Rajah Caruth is making a name for himself and making history in a truck series race.

Caruth, a 21-year-old Winston-Salem State senior, won the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race in Las Vegas Friday.

Caruth is the third Black driver in history to win a race in a major series, joining Wendell Scott and Bubba Wallace.

Cup Series driver Bubba Wallace, the second Black driver to win a race in a NASCAR national series posted to X "What a massive win for the little bro! What a monumental win for our sport! Proud is an understatement!"
