Wilson police investigating after man found dead at Barton College

Wilson police are investigating after a man was found dead at Barton College on Friday.

Officers were dispatched to Wenger Hall on the campus of Barton College at 4:30 p.m. for a welfare check. Officials said they arrived and found an 18-year-old male that was pronounced dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation showed no suspicious causes of death, and officials said the death was not a suicide. The person's name was not being released pending notification of next of kin.
