Wilson man charged in death of 24-year-old woman

A man has been charged for his connection to a shooting that killed a woman on Saturday in Wilson.

Around 9 p.m., officers with the Wilson Police Department responded to a shooting at 920 Carolina Street.

Officials said Ingrid C. Powell, 24, of Rocky Mount, died in the shooting.

Police have arrested 23-year-old Jacobia L. Moore on charges of first-degree murder with no bond.
