Whole Foods sales to benefit Durham libraries Wednesday

The special event on Wednesday includes storytimes, a bookmobile visit and more. Whole Foods in Durham will donate 5 percent of sales made that day to the Durham Library Foundation.

Whole Foods in Durham will donate 5 percent of sales made on Wednesday to the Durham Library Foundation as part of special day that also will include storytimes and more.

The nonprofit was select as the Whole Foods 5% Day winner based on a video that highlights the group's support of the Durham County Library. To help celebrate, the library will host storytimes from 2 p.m.to 4 p.m. in the cafe area of the store. There also will be some crafts for kids to take and make at home. Casey, the library’s own “pirate,” will make an appearance from 1:30 p.m.  to 2:30 p.m.. And the Bookmobile will be on site from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The Whole Foods in Durham is located at 621 Broad St. in Durham.
