Where to find organic strawberries
At least three farms in the Triangle sell organic strawberries.
I've gotten more than one email from readers wondering where they can pick their own organic strawberries.
Here's where you can find some.
Whitted Bowers Farms near Hillsborough. The farm is certified both organic and biodynamic. They are open daily from sunup to sundown.
Hilltop Farm in Willow Springs opens to the general public Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. They are open only on Saturdays. Most of their crops are reserved for their popular CSAs.
And Vollmer Farm in Bunn offers organic strawberries. Hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday.
