Wendell man charged with assaulting woman

A Wendell man faces charges that he assaulted a woman during a domestic situation Saturday night, according to an arrest warrant.

Randell Craven Ayscue, 32, of 139 Roderick Drive, attacked the woman with a large piece of glass from a broken mirror, the warrant states.

Ayscue was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

He was placed in the Wake County jail under a 48-hour domestic violence hold. His first court appearance was set for Monday.
