People gathered at the banks of the Eno to listen to music, look at local art and craftwork, eat delicious food, and celebrate the Eno River & Watershed and its importance in our community for the 34th year. Festivals, food and fun

40th Annual Festival for the Eno (West Point on the Eno, 5101 N. Roxboro Road, Durham) - Stay cool this Independence Day weekend. This annual festival features more than 80 bands on five stages, craft beer, food trucks and vendors.

Village Brunch Market (Benelux Coffee, 402 Oberlin Road, Raleigh) - Benelux Coffee partners with the Raleigh Makers Market on Sunday to round up locally-made wares, farm fresh goods, and vintage finds at Cameron Village.

Family Day at CAM (CAM Raleigh: The Contemporary Art Museum, 409 W Martin St, Raleigh) - Experience CAM's latest exhibitions, create a make-and-take art project for all ages and enjoy music, free snacks from Howling Cow Ice Cream, a DJ, dancing and more on Saturday afternoon. Admission is free.

Warehouse District Scavenger Hunt (Crank Arm Brewing , 319 West Davie Street, Raleigh) - Meet at Crank Arm Brewing on Sunday for a thrilling scavenger hunt around the Warehouse District of downtown Raleigh. Hunters will search for clues, solve puzzles and crack codes while visiting some of the most historical, artistic and unique locations around the downtown area.

First Friday Raleigh (Downtown Raleigh) - Head downtown the first Friday of every month to celebrate local art and exhibits the area has to offer.

Fridays on the Front Porch (Carolina Inn, 211 Pittsboro St., Chapel Hill) - Sip on crafted cocktails while listening to live music and enjoying featured food trucks at Carolina Inn on Friday night.

Jazz and More Brunch (Weaver Street Market, 101 E. Main St., Carrboro) - Enjoy free music on the lawn between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. every Sunday through October. Bring a picnic blanket or chairs.

NKOTB: The Mixtape Tour (PNC Arena, 1400 Edwards Mill Rd., Raleigh) - This concert tour features New Kids on the Block, Salt N' Pepa, Naughty By Nature, Tiffany and Debbie Gibson. See them Sunday night at PNC Arena.

Bring It! Live: The Dance Battle Tour (Durham Performing Arts Center, 123 Vivian St., Durham) - This tour features legendary Coach Dianna Williams and her team of Dancing Dolls on stage at DPAC Saturday night.

Special Event: Bruce Bruce (Goodnight's Comedy Club, 861 W. Morgan St., Raleigh) - Bruce has hosted two seasons of BET's "Comic View," performed on HBO's "Def Comedy Jam," and has multiple appearances on television and in films. He'll perform Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Magnolia Bayou (The Pour House Music Hall, 224 S. Blount St, Raleigh) - Magnolia Bayou is a high energy southern blues band from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. See them on Sunday in Raleigh.

Summerfest: Russian Nights with the North Carolina Symphony (Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary) - Revel in the romance of Russia's greatest composers including Shostakovich's Festive Overture, Borodin's In the Steppes of Central Asia, Rimsky-Korsakov's Russian Easter Festival Overture, Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" and more on Saturday at Booth Amphitheatre.

Movies by Moonlight (Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary) - Sit back, relax and enjoy watching Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs under the stars Friday night.

Ponysaurus Brewing Co. Summer Movie Series (Ponysaurus Brewing Co., 219 Hood Street, Durham) - Ponysaurus hosts this free movie summer every Sunday on its patio with beer and $1 snacks.

Rock the Park Concert & Movie Series (Forest Hills Park, 1639 University Dr., Durham) - Sit back, relax and enjoy family and friends on Saturday while grooving to music or watching a movie on a big screen. Both activities are free and open to the public. Food vendors will be on site and food will be available for purchase.
