July 22: Theatre Raleigh's In Concert Series: Lisette Glodowski - Lisette Glodowski is an award-winning composer-lyricist, actor, choreographer and educator. She has performed on stages coast to coast, written numerous musicals, and earned her MFA from The Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program at NYU Tisch School of the Arts.

July 23: Dominic Fike: Don't Stare At The Sun Tour See this singer-songwriter on stage at Red Hat Amphitheater on Sunday.

July 23: Summer Concert Series - Head to Fred Fletcher Park in Raleigh for free live music from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

July 21-23: Tommy Davidson - Best known as one of the original stars of the hit television show "In Living Color," see Tommy Davidson on stage at Goodnights.

July 21: Nickelpoint Brewing Comedy Night - Head to Nickelpoint Brewing Co. for a night of comedy featuring Tyler Wilson, Jason Allen King, Paul Spratt and Tyler Deese. Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door.

July 21-23: Affion Crockett - This Fayetteville State University graduate is an actor, writer, dancer, rapper comedian music producer and director. See him on stage at Raleigh Improv,

July 22: Russell Peters - Russell Peters was recently named one of Rolling Stone’s 50 Best Comics of All Time. See him on stage at DPAC.

July 21-23: Juniper Level Botanic Garden Summer Open Garden and N.C. Agave Festival - Juniper Level Botanic Garden will host its first North Carolina Agave Festival during Summer Open Garden through July 23. Hundreds of agave plants, representing over 80 types, will be showcased throughout the garden and nurseries.

July 22: RRG Summer Heyday Market - The Raleigh Retro Gamers will host this is a family-friendly event at Heyday Brewery in Raleigh on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. There will be more than 25 gaming and geek-related vendors, plus retro and modern games.

July 22: Oaklyn Springs 5th Anniversary Event - This Fuquay-Varina brewery will celebrate its anniversary with a family-friendly party featuring live music, food trucks and games.

July 22: Barbie Party! - This free all-ages party will include a photo booth, friendship bracelet and button making stations, sweet treats from Wonderpuff, story time with Stormie Daie, Barbie-themed yarn and more fun from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Freeman's Creative in Durham.

July 19-Aug. 20: Robopark: International Robotics Fair - Explore this event at Crabtree Valley Mall through August 20. It includes more than 50 robots, six virtual reality zones and fun workshops. Ticket prices range from $23 to $33.

July 22: Children’s Matinee: Ballet Hispánico - Enjoy a special ballet performance at the Reynolds Industries Theater at Duke. Tickets are $12. The performance will be followed by a free Kid’s Party at the Landing of the Bryan Center, complete with activities, snacks, and live music.

July 22: Movie Day: Strange World (PG) - Families can enjoy a free screening of the movie Strange World at the Southgate Community Library.

July 22: Family Movie Night: Zootopia - Head to Wake Forest for this outdoor movie night at E. Carroll Joyner Park. The movie starts at 8:30 p.m. with pre-show activities starting at 7:15 p.m.

July 22: Book Harvest Summer Block Party - Book Harvest will celebrate National Summer Learning Week and books at their annual Summer Block Party on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The afternoon will feature family activities and entertainment, and free, culturally inclusive children’s books for every child.

July 22: Family Performance Series - Learn what life is like in the knighthood, complete with an interview with a knight and a medieval combat demonstration at the Eva Perry Regional Library in Apex. Families can also enjoy Donna Washington as she entertains the audience with stories and tales for all ages at the East Regional Library in Knightdale.

July 22: Family Pond Dipping - Bring the family and be prepared to get wet. Eplore the creatures that call the pond home at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden in Cumberland County. The cost is $20 per family.

July 22: Sunsets on the Prairie - Prairie Ridge Eco Station in Raleigh will stays open after hours the fourth Saturday of every month now through September! Bring a picnic dinner, plan an evening walk or just watch the sun go down. On these days, Prairie Ridge will be open until 9:00 p.m.

July 22: Grand Re-opening of Kids' Space - Step back in time at the Orange County Historical Museum. The Kids' Space at the museum has been re-imagined to look like Hillsborough in 1823. Activites will include making butter, working with quill pens, and weaving a paper basket.

July 23: Triangle Folk Ensemble - Triangle Folk Ensemble will perform their signature blend of traditional and contemporary folk music for families at the Ava Perry Regional Library in Apex.

July 23: Cool Summer: A Field Day Fundraiser for Durham Central Park - Bull City Inflatables will be providing a bounce house and games for all ages, and the YMCA will be on-site with additional yard games. There will be food trucks and live music. Admission is free but guests are encouraged to make a donation to Durham Central Park.
