Coming up this weekend: Dix Park hosts an adults-only recess event, Trevor Noah plays four shows in Durham and Holly Springs has a family-friendly festival.

On Stage

March 24-27: Trevor Noah - After the success of an extensive world tour in 2022, comedian Trevor Noah is heading back on the road with his 2023 Off The Record Tour. He is playing four shows at DPAC.

March 24: Straight Jokes! No Chaser Comedy Tour - This show features Mike Epps, Cedric the Entertainer, D.L. Hughley, Earthquake and D.C. Young Fly at PNC Arena.

March 24: The Second City Swipes Right: An Incomplete Guide to the Ultimate Date Night - Spend 90 minutes with a cast of comedians as they explore love, dating, relationships and everything else.

March 25-26: Carolina Ballet presents Mozart: Symphony No. 40 - See the ballet on stage at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium.

March 25: Recess: All Grown Up - Who says kids have all the fun? Join Dix Park and friends for an adults only party in the park starting at noon on Saturday. There will be mechanical bull riding, ax throwing, breakdancing lessons, yard games, food trucks and a DJ playing 1990s music. Activities are free and open only to those ages 21 and older. The event runs until 5 p.m. in the flowers field.

March 25: Triangle LUNGe Forward 5K Run, Walk & Celebration - Head to Koka Booth Amphitheatre for this day of celebration and remembrance, as well as a day to take action and provide hope to those impacted by lung cancer.

March 25: Spring Blooming - Vinyasa Flow - Head to Raleigh Rose Garden for this event on March 25. The multi-instrumental sound journey starts at 10 a.m. and will include meditation and traditional vinyasa flow.

Festivals and food

March 25: Mystic Highland Games - This one-day event at the Mystic Farm & Distillery Company will be full of Scottish music, dancing, food and athletic competition. Tickets are $25.

March 25: Cars & Carnivores Street Festival - This free street festival presented by Wake Forest Rotary Club will include a steak cook-off competition, classic/modern car show, food and vendor booths from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

March 25: Marchtoberfest at Clouds Brewing - This is the annual celebration of Clouds Brewing's anniversary. Enjoy a German Oktoberfest starting at 2 p.m. There will be traditional German music with The Little German Band & Dancers, tapping-of-the-keg ceremony, stein holding contests and more! An Irish St. Patrick's Day Celebration will start at 7 p.m.

Family Fun

March 23-26: Fancy Nancy: The Musical - Raleigh Little Theatre presents this show featuring the beloved character. Fancy Nancy and her friends Bree, Rhonda, Wanda, and Lionel are going to be performing in their very first show, “Deep Sea Dances.”

March 24: Echolocation at the Eco Station - Join students from NCSU for an evening of fun games and activities to learn about bats, perfect for kids ages 6-12 and their families! We will finish up the night with a chance to see live bats flying over the prairie. This is a free event, but you will need to pre-register online.

March 24 - Skywatching at Little River Park - Morehead Planetarium and Science Center invites you to a free skywatching event at Little River Regional Park (weather permitting). Come see Venus close to the waxing crescent Moon, plus Mars and other celestial delights! Educators will bring telescopes and guide you through fun observations of stars, planets, moons, nebulae and other celestial objects.

Now-April 9th: Spring Fest: Egg Hunt with goats - spring Haven Farm is hosting egg hunts for several weeks. Kids can ride the tractor train, build unique crafts, shop at our general store for one-of-a-kind candy, play games under the pavilion and cuddle goats! Tickets start at $13.50.

March 25: Skyfest NC - Skyfest is a community festival in Smithfield with aerial demonstrations, musical entertainment, kids zones, something for everyone! This event includes parachute team jumps, flyovers, helicopter rappelling, and other aerial performances.

March 25: Bunanza! - Snuggle bunnies, have fun, and discover what Ponderosa Acres is all about - loving animals and finding wonderful homes for them! There will be a bunny petting area so you can get to know potential adoptees (or just get some bunny snuggles)! We will also have yard games, a bake sale, and a photo booth! All proceeds will go to supporting Ponderosa Acres and their animals.

March 25: The Power of Purple - Triangle NC Epilepsy presents The Power of Purple Bash on Fenton Square! Hear from expert guest speakers, play yard games and grab tickets to raffle prizes.

March 25: Spring Fling - This Town of Holly Springs event is a morning of games and activities for the whole family. Kids can hop on free inflatables and participate in numerous vendor games and activities tailored towards families and young ones. Come say hello to the Easter bunny and get your photo taken.

March 25 - Corn Grinding Mill Tours - Historic interpreters take you on a guided tour at Yates Mill County Park. Watch the millstones at work grinding corn into meal! Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

March 25 - Away with the Fairies - Head to Mordecai Historic Park where you will enter a market full of fairies, dragons, mischief and more at this themed event especially for families. Enjoy free crafts and activities, find the perfect handmade treasures, and learn about local children's programs - all while enjoying great food and fun. Don't forget to wear your best fairy or fantasy attire!

March 25: DisneyQuest Family Movie Series - Retro Film Series is hosting Saturday morning matinees for families to enjoy the original 2-D works of classic Disney films. This weekend they will show "The Black Cauldron."

March 26: Comic Book Creation Workshop - Lune Spark Center for Creativity regularly offers a free workshops. This Sunday, they will host a comic book creation workshop - taught by Tomas Torres. Open to children in the age range of 7 years - 17 years.
