The Wrap @NCCapitol (Feb. 27)

Legislation calling for sweeping changes in several key state regulatory boards and commissions has revealed divisions between House and Senate Republicans.

A House committee approved substantive changes to the Senate bill, and Sen. Tom Apodaca, R-Henderson, stormed out of the meeting.

Meanwhile, the Senate made quick work of bills to speed the permitting for natural gas wells in North Carolina and to increase penalties for groups that protest at military funerals.
