A Warsaw woman said she was happy for the help of a FedEx driver who happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Megan Benson said in an email to WRAL News that her son Zack was having a seizure on March 11.

“About a minute after me running outside, the FedEx lady pulled up and noticed something was wrong and immediately started asking me if I needed her to call 911,” Benson wrote. “She then came over to help me.

“She asked for my son’s name (Zack) and then began to talk to him and comfort him the best She could while he was in the seizure.”

Benson did not get the name of the Fayetteville-based FedEx driver, but said she helped move Zack out of an ant pile he had fallen in. The driver also stayed at the scene until just minutes before the ambulance arrived, Benson said.

“She was definitely a blessing that day,” Benson wrote. “All in all, my son was in a seizure for around 30 minutes and she was there for most of it.

“He is currently doing better but he sure did scare us all that day.”

Benson shared her son’s story with WRAL News after seeing the story of a FedEx driver in South Carolina rescuing a child from a crash.
