Wakefield High School in Raleigh is dismissing students early due to the air conditioning problems.
Students are dismissing at 12:15 p.m. Thursday due to the school's HVAC system not working at full capacity and the building's high temperatures, the school district said.

The district said families can begin picking up students using early dismissal check-out procedures at the main office.
School buses will provide transportation home for students who ride by bus, and parents can pick up their students using the normal procedure. Students who drive to campus are permitted to leave campus. Staff will remain on campus with students until they are picked up.

In recent weeks, several schools in the Triangle have had A/C problems, prompting early dismissals.
