Wake libraries launch Storytime Anywhere page
Wake County Public Libraries now has a new collection of virtual storytimes online, so families can take a break and take advantage of some fun and educational programming while we're at home.
“We know that for many families, storytime is a regular part of their lives,” said Ann Burlingame, deputy director of Wake County Public Libraries, in a press release. “We wanted to make it possible to have that same experience at home, especially while we’re working our way through such a difficult time.”
Storytimes use talking, singing, reading, writing and playing to help get children ready to read, according to the library. The library system's Storytime, Anytime page features a collection of storytimes, along with some coloring pages. More storytimes are in the works.

Wake County libraries and other library systems across the region also offer a variety of other free resources, including e-books, digital magazines and other activities.
