Wake County deputies arrest man for severely cutting juvenile in domestic incident

A man has been arrested for allegedly cutting a juvenile so severely that the victim had to be taken to the hospital.

The Wake County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged 23-year-old Hilario Beltran-Santiago with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Early Wednesday morning, a juvenile was taken to the hospital with a severe cut to his left arm. Hospital staff alerted the Wake County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators discovered that there was an argument between the victim and the suspect, Hilario Beltran-Santiago. The two know each other, and this was a domestic-related incident.

Beltran-Santiago had already left the home by the time deputies arrived.

On Friday, investigators arrested Beltran-Santiago. He was taken into custody and processed at the Wake County Detention Center under a $30,000 secure bond.
