Virginia Tech is the first ACC program to offer Trask's Sherrod Henderson

A standout from Heide Trask High School now has an offer from an ACC program.

Sherrod Henderson announced on his X account this morning that Virginia Tech has made him a verbal offer. It is his third offer. Old Dominion became the first school to offer Henderson in July. He added an offer from Liberty in January.

Henderson is a very athletic edge prospect. He is 6-foot-3 and weighs 210 pounds. His wingspan is 80 inches. He has clocked in at a 4.57 40-yard dash.

The Titans finished the 2023 season with a 6-5 overall record. Trask made it to the N.C. High School Athletic Association's 2A state playoffs.

Trask uses Henderson on both sides of the ball.

In 2023, Henderson rushed for 1,250 yards and 13 touchdowns. On defense, he recorded 75 tackles, 12 sacks, and forced multiple turnovers.
