Village of Yesteryear, Now With Steampunk

I love the Village of Yesteryear; there's always something you might not expect. Glass eyeballs. Origami. And this year, steampunk.

Steampunk is defined by Wikipedia as "a sub-genre of science fiction that typically features steam-powered machinery, especially in a setting inspired by industrialized Western civilization during the 19th century." I've also heard it defined as stylized high technology as it would look developed in the 19th century. In addition to technolgy, however, it's also fashion.

Art pottery Sally Y. Weber of Milner, Georgia, has a selection of steampunk earrings and necklaces available. The designs incorporate gears into the earrings. I did not get a good picture of the necklaces but they're along the same motif.

No, they're not Greg Broadmore ray guns, but they'd be a nice touch to the well-dressed steampunk - and they're a lot more affordable!
