Victim of Fayetteville house fire identified

Carolyn Jeffcoat Powers, 78, died in a fire at her home Sunday at 845 Montclair Road in Fayetteville. Police released her identity Wednesday.

Firefighters discovered her while fighting the blaze around 3:30 on Sunday morning.

Police do not suspect foul play, but the cause of the fire has not been determined.
