Vehicle fire backs up traffic on I-540

Traffic backed up after pickup truck caught fire Saturday afternoon on eastbound Interstate 540 in Raleigh.

The fire happened about 1 p.m. near the Six Forks Road exit. The right two lanes were closed.

Fire officials said no one was hurt when something ignited in the bed of the construction truck. The cause is under investigation.
