Va. Man Arrested on Drug Charges in Nash County

A Virginia man was arrested by Nash County sheriff's deputies during a traffic stop Monday.

Robert Logan Haines, 25, of 315 Judy Dr. in Winchester, Va., was traveling north on I-95 when he was pulled over for a registration violation, authorities said. They said a search of his vehicle yielded some pills and 1.8 pounds of marijuana. They did not say what prompted their search.

Deputies took Haines before a magistrate and swore out warrants charging him with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance; possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana, and maintaining a vehicle for transportation of a controlled substance.

Haines was held in the Nash County jail on a $10,000 bond.
