The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is the first in-state school to offer Providence Day freshman Griff Galloway. He shared the news to his X account on Wednesday.

Galloway previously received offers from Eastern Kentucky University and Texas A&M University.

He is a 6-foot-4, 220-pound defensive end and tight end in the class of 2027.

As a freshman, Galloway was credited with an impressive 60 total tackles, nine tackles for a loss, 8.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles.

He was a big part of a Providence Day team that finished with a 12-1 overall record and as the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association's Division I state champion.
