Two students, school bus driver taken to hospital following crash in Cary

Two students and a school bus driver were taken to a local hospital on Wednesday afternoon following a crash.

The crash happened between the school bus and an SUV around 5 p.m. near the ramp going on to U.S. Highway 1 from Tryon Road in Cary.

A spokeswoman for the Town of Cary said 25 students were on the bus when the crash happened. The two students transported to the hospital were taken out of an abundance of caution, officials said.

Everyone inside the SUV involved in the crash was OK but a dog inside the car did break its leg.
