Two sought in 2003 Durham stabbing death

Police said Thursday that they have issued arrest warrants for two men in connection with the stabbing death of a Chapel Hill man in Durham 11 years ago.

Police said Thursday that they have issued arrest warrants for two men in connection with the stabbing death of a Chapel Hill man in Durham 11 years ago.

Daniel Guerrero, 27, was stabbed June 21, 2003, in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 4230 Garrett Road. According to witnesses, there was an argument at a party, and two men followed Guerrero out of an apartment to the parking lot, where he was stabbed several times in the torso.

A second man suffered a minor stab wound as he tried to help Guerrero, who died a week later at UNC Hospitals.

Edgar Arellano Sanchez, 33, and Marcos Arellano Sanchez, age unknown, are wanted on charges of murder and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Police said the last known addresses for both men were in Rural Hall, a town in Forsyth County.
