Two killed in van-motorcycle crash on Old Weaver Trail in Wake County

Two people are dead after a van-motorcycle crash in Wake County Friday afternoon.

The incident took place just before 5 p.m. on Old Weaver Trail, where a van attempting a left turn failed to yield to oncoming traffic and struck the motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman passenger on the motorcycle died on the way to the hospital.

The driver of the van was transported with minor injuries.

Charges are pending.
