Two killed in Harnett County wreck

Two people were killed Monday in a car wreck near Campbell University in Harnett County, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on U.S. Highway 421 South in Buies Creek about 4:30 p.m. when the car collided with a truck. The wreck happened less than a mile from the university, but authorities said no students were involved. 

No other details about the wreck were released.
