Two injured when Fort Bragg vehicle overturns in heavy rain

A military vehicle from Fort Bragg overturned Sunday morning while heavy rain fell across central North Carolina.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, a rocket launcher on the vehicle made it top heavy and caused it to rollover when it ran off the road along U.S. Highway 13 near Wade. The vehicle overturned one time and came to rest upright, officials said.

Troopers said rainy conditions also led to the crash.

The driver and passenger suffered minor injuries. No charges were filed.
