Two arrested in death of Benson man

The Johnston County Sheriff's Office arrested two people Monday night and charged them in the death of a man found in a ditch along Glendale Road in Kenly, a spokeswoman said.

The Johnston County Sheriff's Office arrested two people Monday night and charged them in the death of a man found in a ditch along Glendale Road in Kenly, a spokeswoman said.

The body of Uriostegui Calderon, 34, of Benson, was discovered early on Saturday, said Tammy Aamon of the sheriff's office. He had been shot multiple times.

Two men – Diego Reyes, 18, of 108 Stevens Drive in Middlesex, and Francisco Javier Zuniga, 17, of 66 Barnes Road in Middlesex – are being held in the case. Reyes was charged with murder. He was held without bond. Zuniga was charged with being an accessory after the fact. His bond was set at $500,000.
