Two American Eagle planes collide at Charlotte Douglas Airport

Two American Eagle commuter airplanes collided Sunday morning while the aircraft were on the ground at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, authorities said.

According to a statement by American Airlines, Flight 5151, headed to Augusta, Georgia, and Flight 5366, headed to Nashville bumped each other about 9:45 a.m. while one of the aircraft was leaving an airport gate.

No injuries were reported.

American Airlines said both aircraft were taken out of service for inspection, according to WCNC-TV.

American Eagle mainly operates small jets to smaller markets. PSA Airlines operates American Eagle.
