Truck slips off jack, kills Wake County man

A 71-year-old Wake County man died Thursday morning after being pinned under a pickup truck while rotating its tires, the Wake County Sheriff's Office said.

A 71-year-old Wake County man died Thursday morning after being pinned under a pickup truck while changing a tire, the Wake County Sheriff's Office said.

A 71-year-old Wake County man died Thursday morning after being pinned under a pickup truck while rotating its tires, the Wake County Sheriff's Office said. 

Investigators responding to a home in the 1100 block of Taos Trail about 8:45 a.m. found Merle Roger Tobias pinned. 

Tobias' wife told WRAL News that her husband, who went by Roger, was rotating the tires on the car when the jack slipped. 

No other information was released.
