A tractor-trailer overturned Tuesday in Wilson Mills, spilling its load across U.S. Highway 70, authorities said.

The tractor-trailer was hauling about 1,000 sheets of plywood and building materials when it overturned near the intersection of U.S. 70 and Swift Creek Road, authorities said.

Traffic was rerouted onto Swift Creek Road for several hours until the highway reopened at about 5 p.m.

There were reports of injuries, but authorities said they weren't considered life-threatening.
