Truck driver slain outside Kinston business

Sanitation workers found the body of Edward Hill, 63, in the parking lot of Sutton Brick Co., at the corner of Park Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard in Kinston, at about 6:15 a.m., police said.

Police were investigating the shooting death of a truck driver of a Kinston brick company early Friday.

Sanitation workers found the body of Edward Hill, 63, in the parking lot of Sutton Brick Co., at the corner of Park Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard, at about 6:15 a.m., police said.

Hill was a driver for Sutton Brick, police said.

Police haven't released any details on a motive for the slaying or possible suspects.
